We are currently running LAMDA sessions at Heart of England School, Balsall Common, at the following times:

Monday 4pm - 5pm

LAMDA Acting qualifications are internationally recognised credentials designed to develop and showcase a student’s performance skills. Whether a budding actor or an enthusiast seeking to build confidence, these qualifications offer a structured and enriching journey through the art of acting.

LAMDA Acting exams focus on developing key performance skills, including:

- Characterisation: Understanding and portraying a range of characters convincingly.

- Voice and Diction: Mastering clear, expressive, and impactful vocal delivery.

- Physicality: Using movement and body language effectively to enhance performance.

- Emotional Connection: Bringing depth and authenticity to roles through emotional truth.

- Interpretation: Exploring and delivering scripts with nuance and creativity.

Levels of Qualification:

LAMDA Acting qualifications are available across multiple levels, allowing students of all ages and abilities to participate. At Spotlight Leaders we offer the following Levels:

- Level 1 (Grades 1-3): Foundation level, embedding skills in preparation for future LAMDA qualifications.

- Level 2 (Grades 4-5): Developing intermediate skills with a focus on more complex characters and scripts (equivalent to GCSE level).

- Level 3 (Grades 6-8): Mastery level, refining advanced acting techniques and earning UCAS points for higher education (equivalent to A-Level).

Exam Formats:

Students can choose to perform solo pieces or collaborate with a partner in duo scenes. Each grade allows for exploration of diverse material, from contemporary scripts to classical works.
