Now You Can Help Your Child Feel Confident and Ready for that

Big Step to Secondary School ...

Starting Year 7 is a huge milestone — for children and parents alike. We know how important it is to ease those first-day nerves, help your child settle in quickly, and give them the best possible start.

That’s why we’ve created the Year 7 Ready! Summer School in partnership with

Heart of England School — a 3-day experience designed to make the leap from primary

to secondary feel exciting, positive and smooth.

During our summer school, your child will:

🌟 Build confidence and independence before term begins
👯 Make new friends and begin forming positive peer connections
🧭 Get familiar with the school environment, layout, and routines
💬 Develop key communication and teamwork skills
🎨 Take part in creative, hands-on activities that make the whole experience fun
🛠️ Gain practical strategies to manage change and feel more in control

18th August - 20th August
8:30am - 4:30pm

Planned Activities...

Additional Information

Arrival each day from 8:30am to begin at 9am. Participants are able to leave from 4:30pm, latest collection is 5pm.
Participants are to bring their own lunch and snacks for the day - nut free. We will provide fruit as a snack for the participants.
Adequate hydration - a reusable water bottle is advised. We will provide squash (orange and blackcurrant and apple flavours) to dilute in the available water fountains.
Participants are to wear what they feel comfortable in - we suggest tracksuit bottoms/shorts and a t-shirt.
Weather depending we aim to be outdoors, you will need to provide sun cream, a hat and sunglasses for your child.
