In the Spotlight...
Spotlight Leaders Academy was born out of a love for theatre and the desire to help people develop. With over 20 years teaching experience between us, we wanted to break free from the rigidity of conventional education and create something truly life changing.
Bringing together our experience of directing and producing over 25 productions, teaching Drama and experience in Life Coaching has enabled us to create a unique concept that stands out from the crowd.

15 years ago I started my teaching career and have loved every single moment. Being in the classroom allows me to share my passion for 'all things theatre' with the next generation. I have been lucky enough to Direct and Produce 15 productions, including; Annie, School of Rock, Oliver and most recently, We Will Rock You. Through my Drama degree I specialised in stage management and theatrical design. I believe that the backstage of theatre is one that enables people who don't want to be in lime light, to shine.
My other passion is enabling people to overcome their obstacles and achieve their goals. I have over 10 years experience Life Coaching and am Trainer of NLP and Hypnotherapy. I have worked with a variety of people from semi-professional footballers, to professional racing drivers, through to solving someone's fear of flying. This skillset has helped me to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to bring out their inner confidence and unlock their true potential. This aligns the the Spotlight Star Values allowing each individual to achieve what they never thought possible.
My passion for teaching started 16 years ago and I haven't looked back since. There's nothing better than seeing young people step outside their comfort zone and shine. I have been privileged enough to take this passion outside the classroom and Direct and Produce 15 productions, including; High School Musical, Guys and Dolls, Legally Blonde and one of my personal favourites, Little Shop of Horrors. As well as my role of Director, I have successfully managed the back stage team to ensure each show ran seamlessly.
Through my affiliation with Bellagio Dance Studios over the past 10 years, I am a qualified Chaperone, First Aid and Safeguarding lead. I have built strong links with people in the performing arts industry through; programming lighting at the Crescent Theatre, backstage runner at Birmingham Townhall and Blackpool Hippodrome to mention a few. These experiences have led us to develop our three Spotlight Star Values (Performance, Skills, Training) which offers something for everyone to be able to become the best version of themselves.
